Aphonopelma seemanni

This docile new world tarantula is both striking and hardy. The A. seemanni can be a bit skittish, but rarely bites or throws hairs. Many consider this hardy species as a perfect segue to keeping some of the fussier, more moisture dependant needs. The aphonopelma seemanni requires deep substrate to burrow in, with the lower levels remaining moist.
